How Do You Setup An Inflatable Arch?

Setting up an inflatable arch may seem challenging, but with the right steps and preparation, it’s a straightforward process. Inflatable arches are often used at events like races, grand openings, and festivals. To ensure your inflatable archway is set up correctly and safely, follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Choose a Suitable Location

The first step in setting up your arch inflatable is selecting the right location. Choose a flat surface with enough space to accommodate the archway and the blower. Ensure that there are no sharp objects, obstacles, or hazards that could damage the structure. If the surface is dirty or rough, we recommend placing a tarp down before unrolling to protect it. Additionally, make sure the area is clear of any overhead obstructions, such as tree branches or power lines, to avoid interference during inflation.

Step 2: Unroll the Archway

Once you’ve chosen the perfect spot, unroll the inflatable and lay it flat on the ground. Take care to position it so that it’s facing the correct way up. This will make the next steps easier and ensure that it inflates properly. Double-check that all parts are spread out evenly to avoid any tangling or creasing.

Step 3: Connect the Blower

Next, connect the blower to the structure. If your archway uses an internal blower, it is placed inside of the structure and secured using the straps that are already sewn into the inflatable. For external blowers, connect the blower to the arch's duct, which is typically secured with velcro or a strap. The blower should be positioned at the base of the arch, with the power cord plugged into a nearby electrical outlet.

Step 4: Inflate the Arch

With the blower connected, it’s time to inflate. Turn on the blower and allow it to do its work. The time required for full inflation will vary based on the size of the structure and the power of the blower. If you notice any areas inflating unevenly or not inflating at all, it’s likely because a zipper is open; check and close any zippers as needed. Additionally, adjust the arch’s position on the ground to help distribute the air more evenly. If the inflatable is on the larger side, a team of at least two people will be needed to ensure that the arch remains stable during inflation and does not fall, which could cause an accident.

Step 5: Secure the Arch

Once it is fully inflated, the final step is to secure it in place. Use the provided stakes or sandbags, along with ropes attached to the arch through D-rings at each corner, to anchor the arch securely to the ground. This is crucial for preventing it from moving or tipping over, especially in windy conditions. Make sure that each anchor point is firmly in place and that the structure is stable and upright.

By following these steps, you can confidently set up an arch that’s ready to perform at your event. Proper setup ensures that your arch not only functions well but also remains safe and secure throughout the duration of its use.
